prayer doesn't work.

Well, I could have told you that... and it wouldn't have cost you 2.5 mil.

Prayer is specious reasoning.. nothing more.

Oh it works.........just not for non-believers. Or at least that's what I tell my children to instill fear in them.

They pray every night that tonite won't be the night "daddy" drinks too much.

There was a similar article about that here in DC. Then someone had the great wisdom to write a letter to the editor the next day to complain that all the scientists couldn't possibly be right. Such indignation!

Personally, I would think that if so many people are supporting you (whether it be prayer or something else), you might actually do better with illness. A case of mind over matter, if you will. Oh well.

However, I would be interested to see how the scientists set up their data experiment. It might help us determine if the results are skewed in favor of one outcome over another...

Actually I agree with Ryan on this. I'd like to see the study peer reviewed. I actually believe that the power of positive thinking is real. I strongly believe that we can manifest our own reality and that prayer is just a form of that. Look at meditation. It's been proven to have effects and I could easily argue that it is a form of prayer
